Day 5 - 3 $ 1

Day 5 - 3 $ 1

Postby elflakey » Mon May 24, 2010 1:59 pm

Today is my 5th day. When I awoke this A.M., I felt terrible. I cannot pinpoint the exact problem - but I felt like I was either going to vomit, faint or just die. As the day has progressed, I am feeling better but that experience had me ready to throw in the towel. I really need some info: can we use any salt, can we have fat free cheese, can we have turkey sausage, can we buy a Vege Salad from Subway to eat, can veges be spread out throughout the day. I cannot eat all of them at night - get very sick on my stomach. I guess that's enough for my first time here. Everyday I tell myself I can do this - I know I can.

Read through your folder of info for the "definitive" answers.
I'm sorry you're feeling so lousy. It'll pass -- it may be your body detoxing from sugar/carbs.

I have eaten several veggie salads from Subway on this plan. And I've spread the veggies out some during the day as well. There is some cheese we're allowed on the plan (Parmesan, Romano, & Cottage cheese are listed). I've used ground turkey, but not turkey sausage, so I don't know about that.

Hang in there. Success is right around the corner!!!

I too have had subway salads... I use Ms dash a lot and sometimes I have salt... and we are allowed some cheese. also sometimes I have egg whites in the morning with onions and peppers and little bit cheese... then have the rest of the protein at night with more veggies... I keep my list on the fridge... and reread the book a hundred times... I did have sauerkraut and a very small piece of turkey sausage for dinner... and mustard... kept me going.

Sorry you felt so bad... it can get rough at times until it becomes routine. Hang in there! As Silver says the rewards are well worth it. I've only been on the plan a month so it is getting easier to follow, but some days i just feel yuk! don't really know why.At first I got so tired... whew who knew... getting energy now... but I had some medical issues. t

Thank you both so much for your encouragement and support. It really means a lot. I, too, have some medical issues and think my system had to adjust to the big change in eating habits. Tomorrow will be a great day!!!!! Hope both of you have continued success. You will hear from me again, I am sure!

If that happens again, I encourage you to call your Dr. at MMC. Especially if you do have medical issues. I ended up in the ER because I felt like I was going to faint. It turns out that my blood pressure was way too low. Apparently, my sodium level was low. The ER Dr. said it could have been from drinking alot more water than what I am used to. My Dr. at MMC told me that she wanted me to call if something like that happened again. I was on 2 different high blood pressure pills and I have now stopped one of them.

Keep your head up and think of why you are doing this!
Beginning Weight 236 lbs. 5/10/10 - Started on 2 + 2 plan
Lost so far 29 lbs. on 2+2 plan
